US ambassador meets entrepreneurs in Mandalay

A GROUP of entrepreneurs led by the vice chairman and the secretary of the Mandalay Region Chamber of Commerce and Industry (MRCCI) in Mandalay met US ambassador to Myanmar Mr Scot A Marciel and embassy officials David Galbraith and Satrajit Sardar at the Mingalar Restaurant in Mandalay on Saturday 7 May.

At the meeting, the participants exchanged views on the impact of Myanmar’s democratic transition on business in Myanmar. The ambassador said the US will be a partner in the country’s reform process, which is expected to bring economic development to the country.

The MRCCI vice chairman and the entrepreneurs presented gifts to the ambassador and his party.—Thiha Ko Ko
