Russian naval fleet to visit Yangon, meet with MNR Navy,
Chief Minister
A RUSSIAN
naval fleet will arrive to Yangon and stay from 18 to 22 May for a five-day
visit. The fleet previously visited Myanmar in November 2013 for the given
reason of encouraging friendship between the two nations.
The fleet
is comprising one Udaloy-class destroyer named the Admiral Vinogradov , a Sea
Salvage Tug and an oil Tanker.
During the
visit the Russia navy will conduct meetings with the Myanmar Navy, make a study
trip in downtown Yangon, meet with the Yangon Chief Minister and hold an open
day for the public to visit and study the Russian battle ship. —Myanmar Navy
