             First Private Bank introduces new mobile service in Pyay

The First Private Bank Limited introduced its new mobile banking service “my kyat” to shareholders and entrepreneurs in Pyay town, Bago Region being from 29th September.
Dr.  Sein Maung,  Chairman of First Private Bank Limited, elaborated my kyat services which is the bank’s new mobile banking service to the shareholders and the entrepreneurs in AyeyarOo hall on the Kannar street in Pyay town.
Mykyat is a monetary service provided by the legal representatives of the bank to customers in the areas without banking system.
Mykyat aslo provides monetary services in the areas where there are no branches of bank and/or ATM machines.
Mykyat, he said, is believed to be able to attract the customers and reduce service charges with bank accounts being not need.
It will also enable remittance transaction with the use of mobile phones.
He amphasized that Mykyat can be used by everybody regardless of having a mobile bank account or not, and with an ordinary handset or smart phone handset.--(017)

Mass cycling around Mandalay Nan Myoe moat




Myanmar’s Cycling Federation and the Sport and Education Department of Mandalay Region organised a cycling group that started at the junction of 73 st and 26 st in Chanayethazan township, Mandalay on 26 June.
The riding group was organised as an effort to report national health and fitness, and efforts to promote the reduction of traffic on the cities roads.
 Dr. Zaw Myint Maung, the Chief Minister of Mandalay Region rode with 200 Mandalarian amateur cyclists.
The event will be held the last week of every month as a mass activity around the Mandalay’s Nan Myoe Moat.—Thiha Ko Ko (Mandalay)


Vocational training course opened in Oaktha Myoe Thit












A vocational training course has been opened by Bago Region’s Small Industries Department under the Ministry of Agricultural, Livestock and Irrigation. In order to promote the support the production of consumer goods in the region, on 27 June.
At the opening ceremony, Daw Nwe Nwe Wha deputy director of Small Industries Department of Bago Region explained the aims of opening the course.
Daw Myat Thanda Aung, a trainer, elaborated the lectures that will be given at the course.
A total of 16 trainees are attending the 7-day course that will run from 27 June to 2 July.—Shwe Win (Pyay)



Mandalay faculty members and university students carry out communal sanitation work







Military science students and faculty members from the University of Training Corps carried out collaborative sanitation works at Mahathetkyamarazein Kyauktawgyi Pagoda in Aung Myae Thazan township, Mandalay Region on 26 June.
The group cleaned the platform of the pagoda, clearing rubbish, cutting weeds and bushes around the stairways and the grounds of the pagoda. Faculty members and students offered flowers to an image of the buddha. —Office of the Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services

“Total ICT Solutions For SMEs” show takes place in Mandalay



THE Mandalay Region Federation  of Chambers of Commerce and Industry, the Mandalay Region Computer entrepreneurs Association and the Mandalay Region Computer Professionals Association organised a “Total ICT Solutions For SMEs” show which was held at Mandalay ICT Park in Chanayethazan Township.
The event was aimed at aiding the transformation from traditional work procedure to a more systematic modern work procedure in small and medium businesses across Myanmar with the use of ICT.

1th Upper-Myanmar International Level Cooking Competition held in Mandalay

SPONSORED by the Myanmar Chefs’ Association and World Association of Chefs' Societies (WACS) the opening ceremony of the 1th Upper-Myanmar International Level Cooking Competition, organised by the Myanmar Chefs’ Association Mandalay (MCA Mandalay) was held at the promotion area of the Yatanarbon Super Centre of the Mandalay Yatanar Mall on Monday.  
Present at the event were hoteliers, restaurateurs and guests.  Officials of the Mandalay City Development Committee, the Myanmar Chefs’ Association and the Mandalay Yatanar Mall cut the ribbons to open the competition.
