Yangon Police Force to increase public security activities
for Thingyan 2016




THE Yangon Police Force (YPF) were successful in implementing their public safety works agenda over the 2015 Thingyan Festival (the country’s New Year Water Festival), according to Yangon Police Force.
In 2016 the Yangon Police Force is preparing to carry out, with increased momentum, their public security and prevention measures against criminal during the coming Thingyan festival.
To reduce the level crime over the festival the YPF, together with Organisions from respective townships, have designated an educative programme to run from 7 to 20 March. The aim is to carry out public awareness activities such as giving educative talks on prevention against narcotic drug use to the public, lecturing on abiding by traffic rules and the enforcement of the law including the banning of the use and selling of what was termed ‘sexual stimulant tablets’. –Yangon Police Force

Cruise with eighteen Swiss and German tourists



EIGHTEEN tourists from Switzerland and Germany guided by Ma Yamin May War arrived at the Ayeyawady Jetty in Myanaung Township, Ayeyawady Region, on 19 March through waterways. The tourists are touring on the RV Thurgau Exotic II River vessel along the Ayeyawady River.
Upon arrival at Myanaung, the tousrists visited the Nay Chi Bazaar and downtown Myanaung and took documentary photos of the ancient buildings in the town.—Win Bo (IPRD)

Talks on how to invest in First ever Myanmar stock exchange held in MDY





 Talks on investment in first Myanmar stock exchange was held at the Hotel Marvel in Mandalay on Sunday, 13 March.
At the ceremony, Deputy Minister for Finance Dr. Maung Maung Theim explained how to buy and invest in Stock share. Myanmar first Stock Exchange has been launched since December 2015, and Deputy finance minister Maung Maung Thein told that six financially strong companies, abide by discipline and are competent, are allowed to sell stock shares. The companies will sell stock shares  with effect from 25 March 2016. The deputy minister urged the public to invest in the stock share market. The deputy minister replied to the queries shot by the attendees. –Thiha Ko Ko
